Most visitors to Central Florida are familiar with all the big name and theme park associated hotels. Chain hotels are also easy to find online and almost everybody knows one by name. However if you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, upscale, and associated with a very nice golf course, then may I recommend The Celebration Hotel. This quaint and well located hotel is a gem for a weekend or longer. One of the great things, and there are many, about the Celebration Hotel is its’ location on the lake in Downtown Celebration, Florida. This ideal spot offers the truly wonderful opportunity to explore the shops, restaurants and other entertainment venues of Celebration without climbing in and out of your car. And, in case you didn’t know, the Celebration Hotel is ideally located near the most popular theme parks. So, you can indulge your inner child if you want to. The Celebration Hotel is an intimate, boutique hotel featuring 115 rooms and suites. It is a member of the fine family of Kessler Collection Boutique Hotels. The Celebration Hotel and its’ fine dining restaurant The Plantation Room are both recipients of the coveted AAA four diamond award. The common areas and the rooms share a very upscale yet comfortable and intimate “old Florida” design style. There is even a Starbucks on site for that all important morning jolt of caffeine. The Lobby Piano Bar is really nice spot to pass time in the evening while listening to some jazz and enjoying a night cap. All of which adds up to a very relaxing stay. Guests of the Celebration Hotel enjoy the use of the Celebration Health Fitness Centre and Day Spa. Which has been Voted “ Best Gym in Orlando” by the readers of Orlando Magazine. Guests may use the facilities and receive spa treatments at the centre or may schedule in room services for the ultimate in private pampering. When you’ve relaxed and wined and dined yourself into a state of bliss; go back to your wonderful room and get a good nights sleep so you can get up and go play some golf. One of the best things about a stay at the Celebration Hotel is the use of the Celebration Golf Club. Lets face it, I am writing this review for FloridaGolfNews.com not for Wine Spectator. I would never pass up the chance to play golf, particularly when its 18 holes on a Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. designed masterpiece. The Celebration Golf Club has been awarded Four Stars by Golf Digest, and was the host of the 2002 Senior Open Qualifier. The picturesque course has a majestic back drop of hardwood and pine trees and meanders through wetland. As you can imagine, water plays a part of many holes and is even in use in the aqua range. With five sets of tee boxes, the course can be tailored to provide an enjoyable round for most skill levels. The next time you want a relaxing weekend getaway, or a more adult friendly theme park experience, I recommend giving The Celebration Hotel a try.
